Discover Gemini at IMARC 2023!

Have you experienced Gemini, yet? Join us at Australia's premier mining event and explore our cutting-edge insights. Swing by the Perenti booth (#47) and take a test drive of a VR model of an operational mine, powered by Gemini and Meta Quest headsets.

What can Gemini do for you?

Gemini is an easy and cost-effective way to de-risk your project by accurately simulating scenarios before committing your capital. For example, with Gemini you can check if you’ll reach your production targets, identify bottlenecks, test mine design, minimise truck queuing and idling times, and compare equipment options.

Gemini is not your run-of-the-mill modelling

Gemini is more than an amped-up spreadsheet or BI tool. It’s a powerful, 3D, mining fleet simulation tool that can create an accurate twin of your mine set-up and then test different scenarios like fleet makeup, stockpile configuration, ROM planning, equipment selection and overall mine design.

Gemini gives you second-by-second fleet interactions between “agents” like trucks, diggers and other equipment. Fed with the latest available data, Gemini factors in emergent behaviour to produce realistic simulations of each scenario, highlighting potential challenges in individual interactions.

De-risking mine electrification: a future use case

In the near future, Gemini will help clients de-risk their electrification projects by testing different scenarios and modelling different electrification methods before committing to hard-wired decisions.

Where Gemini currently facilitates the detailed modelling of diesel vehicles using Rimpull curves, we’ll soon include electrification models such as trolley assist and battery electric vehicles.

What to see at IMARC

Come visit the Perenti’s booth #47 and see Gemini in action. We’ll be demonstrating an early proof of concept model that takes a Gemini-generated model (created in the existing Gemini web application) and displays it in a virtual reality environment using Meta Quest 3 headsets.

The model features an imaginary mine with operating trucks, diggers and a crusher. Users can navigate through the mine as the simulation is running, allowing them to view and compare equipment and mine performance in different scenarios.

And, if you’re attending IMARC, don’t miss our CEO Sarah Coleman’s presentation on “A Technology Journey that Supports the Increasing Complexity Facing Operations”. It’s scheduled for 14:00 on Tuesday 31st October.

See you at IMARC 2023!
